Beautiful and large thimble, decorated with three patriotic scenes: in the main one, surrounded by a laurel wreath, a French soldier at his parapet; on the other two, a seamstress at her work and a worker on his lathe.
-----
Very good general condition. Slightly blunted reliefs. A trace of a file inside.
An unidentified goldsmith's mark.
These patriotic thimbles, crafted at the end of the First World War, are often in silver or vermeil. Gold examples, like ours, are rarer.
