Lovely living room table called "worker" from the Napoleon III period in Louis XVI style. Marquetry tray and belt (some missing). Antique decor on the board: musical instruments (drum, flute and aulos), flower and foliage ornaments. Straight feet with gold leaf highlights and surrounds. Molded feet and spacer decorated with golden palmettes. Inside, the open top reveals a charming integrated mirror at the back surrounded by a golden strip. A tray with compartments allows you to store various sewing items. Speckled with maple, blackened pear and maquette. Some gaps (see photos) on the belt and tray. Nevertheless, charming piece of furniture with modest dimensions. This type of furniture was also called a “work table”. Very decorative. Around 1860 Open top height: 115 cm
