Large silver and garnets rosary, 19th century
Beads are made of small raw garnets and decades are separated by an openwork round silver bead. The rosary ends by a big medallion that keeps in a thick filigree ornemantation a 17th century silver medal made by Italian medallist Alberto Hamerani (1620-1677), signed by his monogram AH on both faces. Medal shows on the obverse a right profile bust of Saint Peter with inscription on the edge " S•PETRVS•APOSTOLVS " (Saint Peter Apostle). On the reverse, a left profile bust of Saint Paul with inscription on the edge " S PAVLVS APOSTOLVS " (Saint Paul Apostle).
