"19th Century Transport Case For Housewife Maison Beguin-lapar"
Beautiful 19th century transport box for a housewife from the Béguin Lapar house in Paris. It is made of solid blond oak and has copper corners and retractable handles. The interior is fitted out with two trays covered in red-dyed chamois leather, for 48 knives and 48 forks. The silverware of the great houses was thus luxuriously protected. The Lapar house was one of the great Parisian goldsmiths. Very good condition, no key.
