Openwork case with onix plaques and flower reserves, volutes in its center quadran pendulum with Roman numerals, signed Raingo fréres in Paris surmounted by a reclining nymph surrounded by three cherubs emblematic of the arts, flanked on the sides by bouquets floral and winding branches, carried on spinning top feet.
The movement is signed on its plate in the round “Raingo-Fréres Paris” with several numerals.

he Raingo brothers quickly stood out for their bronzes. In fact, the Raingo brothers, first known as watchmakers, added artistic and furniture bronzes to their catalog. From 1860, Maison Raingo created remarkable pieces for the Emperor and Empress Eugénie, a collection which can be admired today at the Louvre. The Raingo brothers carried out productions based on the Antique then, later, produced small models of the works of contemporary artists such as Pradier, Carrier-Belleuse or Auguste Moreau. They also work in collaboration with the famous cabinetmaker François Linke.
The house was presented at the 1862 Universal Exhibition in London. At the Paris Universal Exhibitions of 1867, 1878 and 1889, she won awards each time, including the gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889. The workshop was then located at 202 rue Veille du Temple in Paris. The Raingo brothers' works can be found in various museums including the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris, the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels, the Museo Poldi Pezzoli in Milan and the Palacio Real in Madrid.
