"Pair Of Candelabra In Patinated And Gilded Bronze Louis XVI Period"
Important pair of three-light candelabra in finely chiseled, patinated and gilded bronze from the Louis XVI period; It presents a female figure in antique-patinated bronze draped in a long dress and wearing a palliolum. In both hands she carries the Athenian barrel whose central stem supports an amphora in Carrara marble and gilded bronze with a lotus leaf motif topped with a flame. The bouquet with three arms of light decorated with torsos and foliage supports three antique vases decorated with gadroons, very fine flutes, pearls and water leaves forming a binet. The whole is enhanced with fruit, a crown of pearls and chains and ends with a plume. It rests on a circular base in white veined gray marble adorned with lotus leaves, a pearl and an ivy garland held by two knots. Parisian work from the 18th century in perfect condition.
