Exceptional small silver teapot, the plain body, the foot and the lid molded with gadroons, the fretel in the shape of an exploded pomegranate, the handle in blackened wood, by the master goldsmith Louis Jacquin, Mâcon 1779-1780. Louis Jacquin was a goldsmith in Mâcon from 1765 to 1783. Gross weight 552g. Condition, very good, the body and the lid are punched. This is the only teapot I know for the jurisdiction of Dijon. Museum piece.
