the sockets are in the shape of mermaids with outstretched wings and snake legs, so to speak! entirely in the spirit of high-era Italian majolica.
masks are applied around the perimeter.
the front decoration represents putti playing and the back is decorated with an exotic landscape.
the whole thing rests on a pedestal.
the colors are superb and very bright.
very  good condition apart from a few chips, including one on the neck, the bottom has a small hole.
