"Tiered Desk, Happiness Of The Day, Charles X Period In Ash"
Lovely and very rare "bonheur du jour" tiered desk in ash inlaid with nets, foliage and amaranth palmettes. It opens with six drawers in a tier surmounted by a gallery, and two in the belt. It has two side shelves and a sliding top covered in tan leather gilded with small irons. It rests on four legs with cut sides. The amaranth marquetry is very refined. This desk, practical, space-saving, very decorative and typical of the Restoration - Charles X era, is in perfect condition, making it a very desirable piece of furniture.
