"Handashi"
Handashi dated 1852 and bearing a double signature of TURUYOSHI and HIDEFUTA. These two blacksmiths from the HOSOKAWA MASAYOSHI school worked together to forge this exceptional blade. The nagasa is 74 cm and a sori is 2.5 cm. The temper is sugu-ha and shows no forging defects. The frames are en suite and original. Polishing and restoration of the handle which is missing the menuki is to be expected.
