Saint-louis: Frosted Glass Suspension.

Suspension with a light source signed Saint-Louis (Cristallerie Saint-Louis). Bright blue globe in acid-etched frosted glass. Old brass raising and lowering system to light the candle (removed to be electrified). The globe, cylindrical in shape, is decorated with the 4 seasons in 4 finely engraved medallions: spring with the return of the swallows, summer with the hay season, autumn and the smoke in the chimney and finally winter with leafless trees. Perhaps a representation of the countryside around Saint Louis Lès Bitche / Münzthal in Moselle where the Saint-Louis house is located. The cartridges are beaded around their edges and separated by stylized ornamental leaves. Very good state. Signed in a reserve “St Louis”.
