Chahab was born in 1951 in Tehran, residing in France since 1974, he lives and works in Nay (Pyrénées-Atlantiques). Graduated from Decorative Arts in Nice, and from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence, student of Henri Goetz for the carburundum engraving technique. Painter, engraver and sculptor, he plays with registers of various materials and textures. Heir to a dual culture, he likes to evoke through his imagination the ancient sites of his native Iran.
