"Netsuke - Mandarine With Two Monkeys - Wood "
Wooden katabori netsuke representing a mandarine on which there are two monkeys, one perched on top of the fruit and the other inside the persimmon itself.Japan, end of the Edo period.
Good condition, note the realism with which the citrus fruit was sculpted, and the finesse of the sculpture where the netsuke is openwork.
