Empire Period Ormolu Clock - Allegory Of Daybreak Or Morning flag

Object description :

"Empire Period Ormolu Clock - Allegory Of Daybreak Or Morning"
Elegant Empire period ormolu bronze clock - ca 1815 - 1820. The allegorical subject is quite unusual, our clock represents the sunrise: the night as a winged nymph lifts the veil covering the dial of the clock.

Very beautiful mercury gilding in matte and shiny, original wire movement which seems functional and complete (to be entrusted by a watchmaker for cleaning and start-up adjustments: service on request, contact us).

Beautifully crafted model, in excellent gilding condition.
