Beautiful and original songbird box made by K.Griesbaum in Germany in the 2nd half of the 20th century. The brass box features the rare filigree technique. The bottom has a slide (for jewelry or other small precious objects). The box is signed on the slide and on the bottom. The mechanism bears the same signature. When activated, a little bird jumps out from under the lid, twirling from side to side while whistling a catchy song. Good original working condition.
