"Pair Large Sculpture Lumina Illuminating Lamp 65 Cm By Le Verrier Era Fayral, Bouraine - 1928 Art Deco"
Important and rare pair of large and iconic Lumina lighting sculptures from the Art Deco period circa 1928, in art cast iron from an old edition by Max Le Verrier, depicting dancers with clean lines holding a cracked glass globe in their hands. They rest on a hexagonal stepped portor marble, the original nuanced green patina. These lamps are electrified and perfectly functional. “Le Verrier” signatures hollowed out on the bases of two sculptures.

Authentic models from old editions. These are not reissues. Very good original condition, with an excellent patina, some slight wear and a small difference on the cup of the globe: this sculpture has in fact presented slight variations over time.

These are flagship models from the Max Le Verrier workshops made in different dimensions, which after obtaining a gold medal in 1925 at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris, produced several sculptures. It was exhibited at the POMPIDOU center, at HARROD’S in London, at the Grand Palais, as well as at the MARTINEZ hotel in Cannes and at the Lutetia Paris hotel which had two copies before its last renovation.
