"Buddha In Carved Lacquered And Gilded Wood"

Buddha in carved, lacquered and gilded wood dating from the end of the 19th century probably coming from South East Asia (probably Burma). He is represented seated taking the earth as a witness with a polychrome drape decorated with rhinestones. The wooden base is decorated with a frieze. The sculpture is in good general condition although some wear due to time is visible on the wood (see photos).
