Sword of the Institute of Arts and Sciences of Egypt created by NAPOLEON BONAPARTE consul in AN VI - 5 Frutidor AN VI (AUGUST 23, 1798), CONSULATE period, 18th century. Bronze frame with remainder of silvering. Rocket with mother-of-pearl plates, one smooth bearing the portrait of ISIS PHARIA and the other vertically striped. Joining arch with leaf motifs on the upper two thirds and sandblasted on the lower third. Keyboard with chiseled feather with a feather placed in a palmette flanked by cobwebs. Triangular type blade with richly engraved edge, gilded, blued in the third bearing marking on the heel of the COULAUX & CIE KLINGENTAL factory. Without sheath. Length: 93 cm Blade length: 80 cm Blade width at the heel: 2 cm Good state of conservation and use, in its original condition and patina, see the details in the photos.
