Alfred Edouard Tourillon was born on September 9, 1871 in Livry in Seine et Oise (now Livry-Gargan). Very early on he was attracted to painting and when Denis-Pierre Bergeret opened his studio not far from Lagny sur Marne, Alfred Edouard became his assiduous pupil. He will use his taste for observation and detail in his compositions of still lifes and landscapes.
Based in Lagny, Alfred Edouard Tourillon exhibited at the Salon des Artistes in 1896-1898-1899-1900-1901, where he received recognition for his talent. He participated in all the exhibitions from 1899 to 1904 of the Artistic and Literary Union of the canton of Lagny, he sat on the organizing committee.
Alfred Edouard Tourillon died on February 9, 1942 at the age of 71, he was buried in Livry-Gargan, his hometown. Painter with a discreet work, he leaves behind him more than 180 paintings listed to date around the world.
