Pretty Louis XV Salon Table, In Marquetry, Stamped ALIX. It rests on four slightly curved feet, shod with very pretty closed bronze clogs. Its Top is a Brèche D'Alep Marble, surrounded by an openwork Bronze Gallery. It opens on the front with a drawer, with a pretty lock entry which closes with its original key. Its Tray measures 44 CM x 35 cm The Height is 74.5 CM Georges François Alix (1846-1906) Georges-François Alix had his Studio in Paris at 46 rue de Charonne, then at 6 bis rue Richard Lenoir from 1878 He participated in the universal exhibitions of 1884, 1885 and 1889, where he obtained a bronze medal. His production, very close to that of François Linke, was very influenced by the latter, for whom he provided bronzes as well as marquetry models. When he died, he bequeathed his bronze models to the Boulle school.
