Much superior to a large majority of pieces from large houses such as Galle and even Daum. Note all the details, and the depth work with this vegetal foreground, this lake then finally these mountains in the background... A real painting... Very beautiful blue and brown colors on an opaline background. The decoration is inserted in 2 large reserves whose perimeter is cut with a wheel. Stylized foliage enhances the exterior parts of the decor. Elegant basin shape, resting on a small heel. Very thick and heavy glass, 31 cm high, 19 cm in diameter, more than 3.6 kilos. Signed "d'Argental" in the decor, rare but clearly referenced model, perfect condition, circa 1920. Sublime piece of quality and originality, certainly one of the most beautiful pieces of the signature. Paul Nicolas was a master of engraving.
