Pair of planters
Painted hard porcelain with gold highlights
Dimensions : H. 18 ; D. 17 (cm.)
Paris, second half of the 19th century
An important pair of pot holders and their saucer-shaped bases. Beautiful violet background decorated with gilt friezes and scenes in grisaille on one side and bouquets on the other. Beautiful "eclectic" work typical of the mid-19th century, combining Louis XV, Louis XVI and Empire influences.
Condition report: very good condition, no cracks or damage. Minor wear to the gilding.
