Charles-Martial Baury, born in 1827 in Paris, son of a porcelain manufacturer, began at the Salon in 1848 after studying with François Rude. He participated in the Universal Exhibition of 1855 and exhibited for the last time in 1868. Baury is known for his busts and statues, notably those of personalities such as M. Faure and Mlle Lefèbvre. He died in 1879 in Choisy-le-Roi. In perfect condition. Full of details, face, hands and feet of incredible finesse.
