Superb Salon painting in perfect condition, on its original canvas and with its period frame in gilded wood in Louis XVI style, by Victor De PAPELEU, FAMOUS LANDSCAPE ARTIST of Belgian origin who was a student of Jean Achille BENOUVILLE and the famous Jules DUPRÉ , great figure of the Barbizon school. he participated in the Ghent and Paris exhibitions on numerous occasions. He was a traveling painter in North Africa, Italy and Egypt and a precursor of the Orientalists.
