"Painting Byemile Louis Foubert (1848-1911) “portraits”"
Superb living room painting by Émile FOUBERT representing an assembly of loves in a buccholic landscape painting itself. Original oil on canvas signed lower left of very good quality representative of the artist's touch at the end of the 19th century. Painter of mythological and religious compositions, allegorical subjects. He studied painting at the municipal school of Bayonne then was educated by Léon BONNAT, CHARLES BUSSON AND HENRI LEVY. appeared at the Paris Salon from 1875 to 1879, as well as at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member from 1884. He is present in museums: Bayeux, Compiegne and Saint Étienne among others. Our painting is very close to the one which won a silver medal in 1900, at the salon. Beautifully crafted and composed, our painting shows the creativity of FOUBERT at the end of the 19th century, characteristic of his talent. Our work is also very close to the painting: "the game of the hot hand" dated 1902.
