"Strasbourg 1774, Beaker , Goblet In Vermeil, Jacques Henri Alberti"
Very elegant flat-bottomed beaker in solid silver gilded with the hallmark of the city of Strasbourg for the year 1774. It bears the master hallmark of Jacques Henri Alberti, master from 1764, he is a companion with the famous Strasbourg goldsmith Imlin of 1756 to 1764. From 1769, he directed the Imlin workshop until his son came of age in 1780. The silver-gilt is intact inside the timpani but worn in places on the exterior walls. The hallmarks are very readable. Weight 145 grams.
