Kolyach Rug, 152 Cm X 235 Cm, Persian In Hand-knotted Wool In Iran Circa 1980, In Very Good Condition

Kolyach rug, Persian. Type of rug from the Sarough rug family, circa 1980 in very good condition.
Hand-knotted in soft Kork wool, embellished with a magnificent combination of colors;
red, wine red, pink, blue, almond green, for around 350,000 knots per M2.
This beautiful carpet presents a large field decorated with floral trellises (classic of these carpets) of roses, decorated with a central medallion decorated with paired birds and four large spandrels.
The whole surrounded by a wide border decorated with flowered stars, followed in parallel by two widely decorated counter-borders, all in very good condition.
The proposed model is a real flower garden, centered with a large medallion placed on a deep cream field and with a thickness of 1 cm, which makes it a very comfortable carpet.
The Sarouk carpet, also known as Hamadan, the Ecbatana of Antiquity, is the place of carpet manufacturing in some villages and certain European buying houses have had agencies there since the end of the 19th century.
Many of these rugs are nicknamed hamadan by traders, particularly runner rugs, many of which are made in this region.

A very slight sunstroke on one side, nothing annoying and not very visible.
