Strong company sword of the king's musketeer, model 1762 (1762 to 1775), former Louis XV monarchy, dissolved by Louis XVIII° in 1816, 19th century. Cast brass frame. Globular pommel with musketeer's cross badge and riveting button. Watermarked cast iron fuse. Guard with a main branch with a right-angled quillon and two secondary branches with an openwork fleur-de-lys shell and a shell thumbscrew. Counter-rolling guard. Strong straight blade with flat back and hollow sides, engraved in relief on the third. Length: 112 cm Length of the blade: 94.5 cm Width of the blade at the heel: 3 cm Thickness of the blade at the back of the heel: 0.7 cm.
