"Lyon 1745-46, Dénis I Nesme, Beaker In Sterling Silver"
Very pretty beaker by Dénis I Nesme with Hallmarks of the city of Lyon 1745-46. Dénis I Nesme belongs to the first generation of what will become a true dynasty of Lyon goldsmiths which will last until 1964 when the last descendant closed his goldsmith workshop. He started with his two brothers as a goldsmith's companion at the very beginning of the eighteenth century. All three were admitted to the master's degree and had descendants who were goldsmiths in Lyon and Villefranche. Thuis Beaker  is in good condition but bears traces of its long history. It weighs approximately 110 grams.
