Pair of seals to be refreshed in silver with a hallmark *"C.Balaine n°91 faubourg du temple" Paris around 1830 early 19th century. The body, in the shape of a Medici vase, is surrounded by a frieze of gadroons and decorated with two mobile handles held by lion's muzzles. Original silver lining in very good condition. *Charles Balaine, who was inculcated in 1827, is a goldsmith specializing in silver lining, active in Paris on rue du Faubourg du Temple between 1827 and 1844.
