Stunning vermeil dessert set for 12 guests (sterling silver) composed of 12 dessert forks, 12 dessert spoons, 12 cheese knives (stainless steel blades), 12 fruit knives (finely chiseled vermeil blades). Very finely chiseled pattern on the handles, a crown of Prince in the cartouche. Early 19th century production circa 1840.French hallmark Minerva 1st standard (.950 purity silver) in use since 1838 and French silversmith Francois Pierre Queille, active between 1834 and 1846.
Superb set in excellent condition. Vermeil has remained outstandingly fresh.
