"Complete Ornament - Red Chasuble - 19th Century"
Stole, maniple and chalice veil accompany this chasuble (no purse) On damask fabric, with green, gold and red fabric braid, we find fleur-de-lys embroidery. The fleur-de-lis symbolizes fertility and is associated with the Virgin Mary. It is sometimes found in communions or in weddings because it symbolizes purity and chaste love. This flower represents holiness.
It is also a symbol of the Holy Trinity for the Church.
All in good condition. small tear on the lining of the veil. Red fabric lining.
