This Dutch painting represents an oriental. Its style can be compared to the work of Johannes Van Swinderen. He was the son of Johan van Swinderen (1549-1619) and Catharina Ketelaers. He was married (in Zutphen on October 15, 1617) to Margaretha van Opgangh (died August 11, 1636), father of Margriete and Hendrick van Swinderen, grandfather of the engraver Bartholomeus and the goldsmith Johannes van Swinderen.
