Beautiful luminous work by the French painter Mary Renard which represents a riverside with autumnal colors in Géroisière in Sarthe, Orne.
After the war of 1870, Mary Renard chose to live in Alençon. A student of the Avignon painter Paul Saïn, he participated from 1880 to 1904 in the Salon des Artistes français where he presented views of Orne and Mayenne.
He regularly paints, throughout the seasons, the banks of the Sarthe in Saint-Céneri.
In 1910, Mary Renard became curator of the Alençon Museums and founded the Society of Friends of the Arts.
Dimensions: 38 x 55 cm without frame and 65 x 48 cm with an old wooden frame.
