16th/17th Century Rapier, Viollet Le Duc Period, 19th Century

RAPIER with branches in 16th/17th century style, called "SKELETON", in wrought iron. Guard with complications of multiple branches with acorn-shaped pommel. Metal rocket. Long straight blade with double-edged gutter and chiseled upper part. Manufactured from the Viollet-le-Duc period at the end of the 19th century, reassembled with an 18th century blade. Long. 121 cm. Good general condition, slight play on the hilt.
