Ile de France chest of drawers from the Regency period. Early 18th century. In walnut and oak re-lacquered in matt black. Faux marble painted top (Belgian red Griotte). This chest of drawers has five drawers in three rows. The facade is slightly curved. The sides are straight and paneled “in chapel”. The drawer fronts are decorated with molded reserves. The front uprights are rounded and have two grooves. The top is molded with a corbin beak. The lower front crosspiece is scalloped. The four locks are original but without keys. The foundations are in oak. The bronze handles and keyholes are original. Waxed and shellac filled finish for the top. Dimensions: L 127.5 x D 62.5 x H 81.5
