Pierre Albert Laplanche or Albert Pierre Laplanche (1854 Sainte-Menehould/Marne - 1935 Château-Thierry/Aisne Hauts-de-France): Stag facing Three Dogs, bronze with dark brown patina. Signed "Laplanche" on the terrace. Large, very realistic group. Pierre Albert Laplanche was a student of Pierre-Louis Rouillard and exhibited at the Paris Salons; the future Albert Pierre Laplanche, also an animal sculptor, also specialized in hunting motifs, like his namesake.
