"Great Hunt Of Saint Albinae - 18th Century"
Our beautiful carved, cream and gold lacquered wooden reliquary hunt is topped with a cross and rests on four lion paw feet. It receives a notable ex-ossibus relic of Saint Albina, Virgin Martyr in 250, clearly visible through the main window and through the two glazed side openings. The delicately bagged relic rests on a red cushion and is surrounded by various flowers. On the back are seven episcopal seals of red wax, with the arms of Cardinal Antonio Domenico Gamberini (1760 - 1841).
These seals replace older seals of which we can see traces, indicating that the reliquary was opened, undoubtedly to be cleaned.
Dimensions of 46 cm high by 41 long and 18 wide Piece in good condition.
