Kukri, khukri or khukuri, exceptionally large, modernly manufactured using traditional methods, a true tour de force of Nepalese forging. It is difficult to handle it functionally because it weighs almost 5 kg and the balance remains that of a knife of extraordinary proportions. The blade is engraved and inlaid with brass on the first third. A brown wax seal from Nepalese customs authorizing the export of art objects is present on the handle. We can still read पु in Nepali. वि २०५४ जाचपाम शाखा for “Dept. Arch. 2054 audit branch”. Issued by the Department of Archaeology, the year 2054 of the Nepalese calendar corresponds to the period between April 13, 1997 and April 14, 1998, declarations office.
Very good condition, no oxidation. Steel, brass, wood leather.
