It shows two children that are studying in the library. The children are sitting in front of the clock and none of them is having knowledge of the time. Both of the children are barefooted and are wearing short chitons.
The right one is reading normally while the left one is reading while following the text with his finger.
The timepiece is framed by a base of bronze that is decorated in relief with a library.
The clock rests on an oval base decorated with a beautiful garlands and set upon four finely decorated feet. The fine bronze details of the scene is achieved by variations in all kinds but in the same theme. For instance the rounded oval base repeats itself in the curved backs of the children, their rounded heads and limbs and the circle of the dial.
This clock is taller than the most library clocks, it is also more elegant.

The dial is decorated with a beautiful surrounding of floral decorations. It has beautiful hands also.
