Child Harpocrates wearing an imposing wig topped with a crown of two ostrich feathers. His chubby face sports a beautiful youthful expression. This representation is here the symbiosis of several divinities, (crown of the god Bes, headdress of Isis Aphrodite and head of Harpocrates), mixture of Greek, Roman and Egyptian divinities, symbolizing a new religion in Egypt at this time influenced by the gods of these different peoples. Orange terracotta, small chips and scattered micro cracks, marks of time. Egypt, Alexandria, Ptolemaic period, 300 to 100 BC.
