"Atypical Louis XV 18th Century Armchair"
Curious 18th century upholstered armchair. Resting on four arched legs, the crosspieces are animated and scrolled. The seat is very wide in the style of "queen-style" armchairs, the armrests are curved. The backrest has the particularity of being relatively low (66cm). It could be a so-called styling chair offering clearance in the back to facilitate hair styling for ladies with long hair. The doweled woodwork is in excellent condition, without missing or regluing. On the other hand, the seat fabric is worn, requiring reupholstering. Louis XV period work.
