"Vilmos Schwarz : “the Thatched House”"
Vilmos Schwarz (Hungarian school circa 1900/1910): “The cottage”, oil on thin hard cardboard (curled) 20.3 x 33 cm, mounted in a 35 x 47 cm style frame (small accidents). What emerges from this cottage, with its slightly askew roof and its outrigger well in front, is a kind of peasant poetry with rustic charm.
