Object description :

"18th Century Mahogany Half-moon Commode"

Pretty little half-moon chest of drawers in mahogany with marble top. Period late 18th early 19th century. Opening on the front with 3 drawers. On the sides 2 half-moon doors and trompe l'oeil drawers. All drawers and doors are equipped with original locks (recent keys) in perfect working order. The whole rests on four cylindrical spindle feet fitted with bronze rings and shoes. Cannures on the four uprights decorated with asparagus in the lower part. Under the white Carrara marble top with projections (very good condition) there is a stamp or membership in the form of an RW monogram. This delightful chest of drawers was restored in our workshop.
