Netsuke – Rare model of a lovely carved wooden deer, shown lying down, its head slightly raised, its legs tucked under its belly in a very graceful attitude. Its antlers falling along its neck and back of the animal. Lovely coat with recognizable spots. Beautiful sculptural finesse for a nicely sized model. Height: 3.4 x length: 4 cm. Japan Edo (1603-1868) 19th century.
