Magnificent large-scale oil painting on canvas depicting Florence Market, by the famous Italian painter Fabio Fabbi, one of the leading exponents of Orientalist painting.
The scene is set outdoors, with many richly detailed characters; also to be admired is the painter's skill in depicting the various subjects to their best advantage.

A student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, he was one of the leading exponents of Orientalist painting.
In 1878, under the guidance of master Augusto Rivalta, he enrolled at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, receiving the silver medal for sculpture from life in 1880. From 1883 he began attending the circle of artists in Florence.
Much of Fabio Fabbi's artistic work was devoted to Orientalism. However, there was no lack of Symbolist, sacred art and historical works.
He was awarded the title of knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy for his artistic merits. In 1937 he moved from Bologna to Casalecchio di Reno, where he devoted himself to sacred art. He died in the same town on September 24, 1945.
