"Blue Enamel Jewelry Box. Mid-19th Century. "

Rectangular box in enamel on copper and gilded bronze frame. Each enameled panel is decorated with motifs of bouquets of white flowers and small insects. The pale blue enamel is decorated with matte gold arabesque motifs applied to the enamel and enhanced with a frieze of black enamel and drops of red enamel. The gilt bronze mount with a pearl border frames these enamel plaques, probably Bressans. The box rests on four feet. Interior restored in padded velvet. Work from the second part of the 19th century. Napoleon III period.
