Globular vase with a long pre-Columbian neck in terracotta, decorated with two small handles and two applied decorations, origin most certainly Chancay or Chimu* culture - Peru, period approx. 1100-1400 AD. From South/Central America. This sculpture is in its original state. Comes from an entire collection of Egyptian and pre-Columbian objects collected by a passionate collector in the 20th century (we are offering many other objects from this set for sale). Please note: slight cracks, accidents and chips, scratches and wear over time, see photos. *The Chimú civilization was an important pre-Columbian civilization for several centuries, from 1000 to 1470. Probably coming from the Moche culture, they were conquered by the Incas led by Túpac Yupanqui under the reign of Pachacutec and integrated into the latter's empire.
