SABER TROUPE OF HUSSARS, model Year IX, Revolution - Consulate. 27980 Brass frame. Guard with one branch hallmarked with the rooster (hallmark for revolutionary productions from 1793) and originally signed then ground. Long-tailed cap. Calfskin-covered wooden handle. Curved blade with hollow sides punched with lictors' beam, length 81 cm. Wooden scabbard covered in black waxed leather with two large brass fittings with iron rings, just like the stinger. France. Revolution - Consulate. Good condition, blade with oxidation from use, leather of the scabbard slightly rubbed with a loss on the left side.
