Charming umbrella from the Napoleon III period. The handle is made of turned blackened wood. The silk was changed to a pretty pink silk embroidered with a leaf pattern, the original black fringes were retained. It folds in two using a sliding ring like the majority of parasols of this era. It is in perfect condition and can be used. It measures 23,82 inches long and 17,71 inches in diameter when opened. circa 1850.
